Logo Design Credits

Jessica Shulman, a student at Skidmore College, created the core design of our logo in 2022. The captivating bee at the heart of the word SoBro was her inspiration, as was the basic layout of the two words. Jessica’s original design used a brilliant yellow as the dominant color for SoBro. Although this color had spectacular appeal in some formats, we found that it did not have the same impact across all media. While retaining Jessica’s core design, Brittany Denny tested other color schemes in a range of digital and print media. We finally settled on a bold black design with yellow accents as the most broadly effective.
